This release includes an update to the Session Dashboard. The Session Dashboard will automatically update upon the first login into a BeBop workstation.

Release 2021.06 Overview:

In this release we are doing some critical maintenance updates.  Additionally, we are taking the opportunity to add more functionality to the Session Dashboard and providing configurability when mounting Cache Projects.

We are always hard at work to make sure that the BeBop platform is performing flawlessly on all of the clouds that we support. We continually look to improve the creative user’s experience on BeBop, often looking deep to address software issues that impact users regardless of the source of the issue.

In addition to the improvements highlighted below, we are constantly maintaining and optimizing our underlying platform technologies to provide the best and most secure experience for our users.

What's New:

Release version 2021.06 includes updates to the following BeBop platform components:

  • MCP
  • Session Dashboard

New options for Adobe data management on the Housekeeping tab of the Session Dashboard

  • Users now have the convenient ability to delete Adobe Media Cache and Adobe Crash Dump data directly from the Housekeeping tab of the Session Dashboard.

  • Periodically deleting this data is a best practice that will help preserve needed free space on the C: drive of the BeBop Workstation and reduce the chance of undesirable behavior in Adobe Premiere.

C: drive utilization conveniently displayed on Session Dashboard

  • Since the amount of available space on the C: drive of a BeBop workstation can impact workstation performance and reliability, the storage utilization of the C: drive is now conveniently and prominently displayed at the top of the Session Dashboard.

  • Users should strive to keep this value at 80% utilization or lower to maintain good workstation performance.

New Cache Project mount options

  • Org Admins can submit a Helpdesk ticket to specify how Cache Projects should mount to the workstations in a Pod in order to best align to their data management policy.

  • There are four different options:

  • Freeform: This option points to the path x:/ADOBE_CACHE/

  • Per-Workstation: This option points to the path x:/ADOBE_CACHE/{{workstation_id}}/

  • Per-User: This option points to the path x:/ADOBE_CACHE/{{username}}

  • Per-Workstation User: This option points to the path x:/ADOBE_CACHE/{{workstation_id}}/{{username}}
