Problem Definition

  1. By default, AVID Media Composer does not see Windows mounted network drives as media drives. This is required for BeBop Project volumes to be used with Media Composer.
  2. By default, when media is imported to Media Composer (i.e. to create DNX files), they are imported to the local C:\ drive. Because all BeBop workstations are disposable and may be replaced by a new virtual machine at any time, it is critical to always place imported media on the BeBop Project volume (shared).

Solution Overview

Enable All Drives

To enable all network drives in Media Composer, please use the following procedure:

Goto Tools -> Console and Enter: "AllDrives 1"

Output will be:

Select BeBop Project Volume as AVID Media Composer media drive.
